SkiffieWorlds 2025 returned to Stranraer from 6–12 July 2025, transforming Loch Ryan and the town into a vibrant international festival of coastal rowing. The event brought together 3,882 crew members from 79 clubs across Scotland, the rest of the UK, Europe, North America, South Africa and Australia, supported by over 200 volunteers and officials and an estimated 25,000 spectators over the week.
Thanks to the sheltered waters of Loch Ryan, its long sandy beach and the close proximity of the town centre, SkiffieWorlds 2025 successfully combined top-class racing with a welcoming community festival.
